Nathan Redmond has officially signed for Burnley , Southampton on a free transfer. The former winger for Southampton, Norwich City, and Birmingham City has signed a two-year deal with the Clarets, with an additional year’s option.
The 29-year-old was a free agent after leaving Besiktas in the summer following just one season with the team, during which he made 28 appearances and scored six goals.
Redmond said; “I always wanted to play again in the Premier League,” according to the club website. The Burnley, Southampton project aligns with my goals.
The management group believes they can improve my performance and recognize the value I can add both on and off the pitch. It seems like the ideal fit.
Nathan possesses a wealth of experience from playing in the Premier League and more recently from his stint in Turkey, where he has excelled, said Burnley manager Vincent Kompany. We’re excited to have a significant role in his future.
Redmond joins Burnley as the summer’s fifth addition, coming soon after the club-record deal for custodian James Trafford.
