At Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) 104 on June 15, Prince Lolia brutally dispatched Elvis Ngwalangwala for his pro MMA debut’s first knockout. Discover MMA South Africa fighter bodies opponent in less than a minute.
At EFC 104’s preliminary events in Sandton, South Africa, Lolia and Ngwalangwala fought each other in a lightweight match. Despite having a huge experience advantage going into the contest, Lolia surprised everyone by winning the biggest match of his career in under a minute.
Lolia narrowly missed with a left hand before Ngwalangwala responded with a strong body kick, and it appeared as though both men were settling in for a striking duel. After absorbing the kick, “The Black Lion” advanced rapidly. A hesitant jab allowed Liolia to connect with a short left hook that sent Ngwalangwala down to the mat.
Ngwalangwala took one hammer fist to the ground before the referee immediately stepped in, but the way he landed actually shielded him from the right hand that came after Liolia’s left hook.
Liolia now has a 3-0 professional record, with all of those matches occurring in the EFC. In his previous two fights, “The Black Lion” prevailed via decision, but this performance showed that the 20-year-old has considerable strength in his hands and may be a prospect to keep an eye on.
The FC is a well-known MMA organization in South Africa and possibly the greatest place to develop talent on the African continent. Over the years, a number of former EFC competitors, including a former EFC welterweight champion and current #6-ranked UFC middleweight contender Dricus Du Plessis., have moved up to bigger promotions.
