Spain Women’s World Cup Squad as four stars return

Spain Women’s World Cup squad: Spain announced their initial 30-player roster for the Women’s World Cup. The final cut will be announced in late June.

A group of 15 players had previously resigned from international service owing to disagreements with head coach Jorge Vilda, hence some prominent names are absent.

The squad will not include Patri Guijarro, Mapi León, Clàudia Pina, or Sandra Paos from Barcelona. In addition, during Alexia Putellas’ recovery from her injury, Aitana Bonmati, Mariona Caldentey, and Ona Batlle have been called back.
