PSG is experiencing extreme pressure. They now own one of football’s most prized players, but they are about to lose him to a free transfer. Real Madrid is the only party that gains from the spat between Kylian Mbappe and the French team. Los Blanco’s are attempting to negotiate a lesser transfer fee since they believe they are the forward’s only option.
L’Equipe says that the Merengues might hold off on making a formal offer for Mbappe until the final week of August. In a similar manner to the deception Real Madrid employed in 2021, this would compel PSG to sell him for the smallest sum possible.
The primary target for the Merengues is now in the final year of his deal at Parc des Princes and intends to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer. However, the Ligue 1 champions cannot afford to lose him without receiving compensation, so they reject that possibility.
In an effort to pressure Real Madrid into negotiations, PSG started using names of clubs like Barcelona and started talks with other parties. They are aware that the player won’t join another team.
Thus, Real Madrid’s strategy of postponing negotiations is brilliant. It is highly conceivable that the French club will consent to settle for a reduced transfer fee at that point, given the imminent prospect of losing Mbappe on a free transfer.
Florentino Perez will try to lower the amount to at least €150 million through a variety of strategies. The Mbappe signing operation was anticipated to cost over €200 million in fees and other factors this summer. After all, no player should put the club’s financial security at jeopardy.
