The Seattle Orcas were defeated by MI New York in the first Major League Cricket event final. On Sunday in Dallas despite Quinton de Kock’s 87 off 52 balls.
The MI New York captain Nicholas Pooran stole the show with a scorching century. But the Proteas star guided the Seattle Orcas to a solid 183/9 from their allowed 20 overs.
The West Indian wicketkeeper helped MI New York meet their goal in 16 overs and win by seven wickets after scoring 137 not out off 55 balls, in the final of Major League Cricket.
Ten fours and thirteen sixes were part of Pooran’s explosive innings.

Dewald Brevis, a South African batsman for MI New York, also made 20 off 18 balls before being run out.
Other South Africans who played in the game included Dwaine Pretorius, Heinrich Klaasen, and Orcas captain Wayne Parnell.
The MI New York lineup included former Titans all-rounder David Wiese, who currently represents Namibia.
