A formal invitation to join the Arab league was presented to N’Golo Kanté by Saudi representatives in London.
The World Cup champion France international’s Stamford Bridge contract is about to expire, and he will become a free agent this summer. The 32-year-old was once expected to sign new terms in west London, but nothing has been finalized.
Kanté has been offered two teams, but Al Ittihad (with Benzema) has surpassed Al Nassr (with Ronaldo).
The wage offer, which includes the image rights and some commercial partnerships, might total €100 million.
Kanté always prioritized signing a new contract with Chelsea since he loves London and the team; the agreement was almost finalized in March but was put back on hold due to a new injury.
According to reports, Saudi officials flew to London to make offers to Kante that might total up to £86 million, including bonuses and image rights.
That is significantly more than Chelsea’s offer and the £300,000-per-week contract that Kante had been looking for.
Following a number of seasons marred by injuries, Kante had received a structured offer from Chelsea that would have paid him handsomely for playing time.
Kante moved to Chelsea in 2016 from Leicester, and since then, he has made 269 appearances for the team, winning the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup, Club World Cup, and FA Cup along the way.
