The talented incoming senior from Newark Catholic recently achieved a notable victory in The Hurricane Junior Golf Title Tour’s College Prep Series 16-18 Boys Division. Competing at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana, Vanoy posted a commendable 36-hole total of 148. His rounds of 75 and 73 secured him the championship, finishing two strokes ahead of T.J. Quinn from Shorewood, Illinois. Vanoy showcased his skill with a total of eight birdies throughout the tournament, consistently performing well in the HJGT events, having placed in the top 10 in seven out of the 10 tournaments he participated in.

Vanoy Hurricane Junior Golf title, played a crucial role in Newark Catholic’s success during the previous season. He contributed to the team’s victories in the Licking County League and Division III sectional and district championships, leading them to a state runner-up finish. In the preceding year, the Green Wave achieved a commendable third-place finish at the state level.
