This week’s biggest topic in sports is Kylian Mbappe, whose transfer story took an unexpected turn on Monday. On Monday, word of the offer circulated over social media, attracting the interest of the NBA top players.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, a standout with the Milwaukee Bucks, shared a selfie on Twitter with the message:
“Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe.”

According to reports, Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal offered to break the world record transfer fee and pay $332 million (€300 million) for the striker because his situation at Paris-Saint-Germain (PSG) is now at an impasse.
A stunning $775 million wage package is reportedly included in the planned deal for the 24-year-old Mbappé.
Mbappé responded to the article with 13 weeping laughing emojis, despite the fact that he hasn’t yet spoken out about the new offer or the transfer rumours that have been swirling around him. Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA MVP, wasn’t the only NBA player shocked by the staggering amount of money involved.
Basketball legend LeBron James also posted a joke on Twitter, along with a video of Forest Gump running.
“Me headed to Saudi when they call @RichPaul4 & @mavcarter for that 1 year deal!”
NBA Stars React to Kylian Mbappe Reported $776 Million Offer from Al Hilal
James overtook Kevin Durant as the highest-paid player in NBA history in 2022 after agreeing to a new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers that increased his guaranteed lifetime earnings to $532 million.
Mbappé reportedly notified PSG in June that he would not be activating his third-year option, leaving the club with the choice of selling their star player this summer or letting him leave for free in 2024.
It pales in comparison to what Mbappé would purportedly make from one season at Al Hilal.
Damian Lillard, a guard for the Portland Trail Blazers, intervened and tweeted: “1 year 776mm? Wtf lol …”
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green also chimed in on twitter: “They got basketball leagues too right? Don’t the ink on my contract has dried up yet.”
