Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu revealed as Cover Star: NBA 2K24’s ‘WNBA Edition’

Sabrina Ionescu, the star player for the New York Liberty in the WNBA, has been chosen as the cover star for the “WNBA Edition” of NBA 2K24. 2K Sports’ global chief marketing officer, Melissa Bell, expressed delight in having Ionescu as the cover athlete. Highlighting her impact on women’s basketball and the WNBA as a next-generation star. Ionescu herself described it as a “full-circle experience” since she grew up playing NBA 2K.

This follows the introduction of the “WNBA Edition” in NBA 2K22. With Candace Parker becoming the first women’s basketball player on the cover. In NBA 2K23, the cover honors went to Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird.
