He highlighted the excitement from a driver’s perspective to potentially see more cars on the grid and the substantial number of job opportunities that an additional team could create.
Additionally, Hamilton’s primary call for change centers around revising the criteria to make team leadership more inclusive of diverse backgrounds. He emphasized the need for new teams to promote diversity and provide opportunities for female drivers. Hamilton expressed concern about the lack of diversity from the top down in Formula 1, with all ownership being predominantly white and male.
