Khamzat Chimaev hasn’t competed since defeating Kevin Holland by first-round submission back in September 2022, so it’s been a slow year for him. “Borz” made his debut by fighting three times in the span of two months and recording three quick finishes. In the two years that have passed, he has only been able to fight three times.

Khamzat Chimaev has registered for a number of training camps in the hopes of making an early 2023 competition. However, the only time he has received guarantees is on the October Abu Dhabi card.
The UFC has experienced an unusual year, influenced not only by the competitors but also by those who are absent.
