Karim Benzema’s move to Al Ittihad is imminent as the striker has signed the major portion of the contract. The lucrative deal, worth approximately €200 million per year, including commercial agreements and benefits, will see Benzema don the Al Ittihad jersey until June 2025, with an option for additional seasons. The French striker will bid farewell to Real Madrid fans at a press conference before embarking on his journey to Saudi Arabia.
Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Al-Nassr in January, Benzema has been offered a hefty contract to join The Saudi Pro League as the newest high-profile player.
The French forward, who is currently the reigning Ballon d’Or winner after leading the Spanish team to La Liga and Champions League triumphs in 2021–2022, leaves Real Madrid as the club’s second-highest goal scorer and as the sport’s most coveted individual honor.
