Golden knights Stanley cup, defeated the Florida Panthers 9-3 on Tuesday to win their first-ever Stanley Cup. Captain Mark Stone scored a hat trick, and Nicolas Hague, Alec Martinez, Reilly Smith, Michael Amadio, Ivan Barbashev, and Nicolas Roy all added singles.
Vegas overcame Florida in five games to finish first in the Western Conference with a 111-point campaign. The NHL’s second-youngest franchise, which won a championship in its sixth season of play, accomplished a remarkable feat.
After a quick review, the officials upheld the decision.
Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad dashed any hope of a Florida comeback by beating Vegas goalie Adin Hill with a crisp wrist shot from the point to get his team on the board.

With fewer than six minutes left in the game, Stone completed his hat trick with an empty-net goal. Roy scored in the waning seconds to put the finishing touches on the victory.
The 2023 Conn Smythe Trophy, given each year to the postseason MVP, was given to Marchessault.
