According to sources within the club, Antony has presented supporting evidence to strongly refute the allegations. Importantly, he has not faced any arrests or charges in either Brazil or the UK.
Manchester United issued a statement stating, “In Antony’s capacity as an employee of Manchester United, he will return to training at Carrington and remain eligible for selection while police investigations continue. We will continually assess the situation as more details emerge.”

Antony is not expected to attend training on Friday and will not be in contention for Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on Saturday. Previously, Manchester United granted Antony leave with full pay, and he missed four games to address allegations made by three different women, including his former partner, Gabriela Cavallin.
Manchester United Antony with 2 More Allegations
On September 4, Brazilian news outlet UOL published allegations from Cavallin, accusing Antony of assaulting her in a Manchester hotel room on January 15. She alleged that Antony headbutted her, resulting in a cut on her head that required medical attention. Additionally, she stated that a punch to the chest caused damage to a silicone breast implant, requiring corrective surgery.
Two more allegations surfaced from Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana, both asserting that Antony assaulted them in 2022, allegations which Antony vehemently denies. Lana, a 33-year-old banker, described an incident in which Antony pushed her against a wall at his Manchester residence in October of the previous year, causing her to hit her head.
United emphasized, “Since the allegations first surfaced in June, Antony has been cooperative with law enforcement inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so. As a club, we strongly condemn acts of violence and abuse. We are fully aware of the importance of safeguarding everyone involved in this situation and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse.”
