Fitzgerald emphasized that they were constantly in his thoughts and conveyed his heartfelt grief for their loss.

The motorsport community rallied together, offering tributes to honor Van ‘t Hoff. Prominent figures from Formula 1 were visibly emotional when discussing the tragedy. There was a minute’s silence was observed before the Austrian Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen, the current leader of the F1 championship and also a fellow Dutchman, led the tributes by posting on his Instagram page. He expressed extreme sadness upon hearing the news. He extended his condolences to Van ‘t Hoff’s family and loved ones, wishing him to rest in peace.
Lance Stroll also voiced his sorrow and made a plea for a review of the Eau Rouge corner at Spa. Referencing a previous fatality in Formula 2 involving Antoine Hubert at the same circuit in 2019. Stroll’s heartfelt statement conveyed his broken heart and urged for action to prevent further tragedies.
Fitzgerald’s RPM team said;
“Everyone at RPM is deeply saddened to hear the news that Dilano has passed away due to an accident in Race 2 today at Spa.
“We send heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and everyone MP Motorsport.
“We would like to wish Adam all the best over the next few months with his recovery. He is currently in a stable condition in hospital.
